On behalf of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) and Hong Kong College of Community Medicine (HKCCM), it gives us great pleasure to invite you to join us and like-minded peers at the 2018 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) to be held from 5-8 September 2018 in Hong Kong.
This is an exciting time for both Colleges as we again jointly host an ASM after a very successful endeavour 8 years ago. Our Colleges have enjoyed a long history of affiliation, collaboration and partnerships, based on mutual respect and acknowledgement, dating back to the turn of the century. Both Colleges have since been acknowledged as leaders in advancing medical management and leadership locally and internationally. RACMA has continued to play an advisory support role, as well as facilitating workshops for both trainers and trainees in Hong Kong.
Both HKCCM and RACMA share a commitment and dedication in developing future medical leaders by providing quality training to trainees as well as continuing medical education and professional development to Fellows.
Over the years our ASMs have developed a strong reputation for bringing together the latest developments in healthcare.
This Joint ASM is themed Change – Disruption. Innovation. Transformation. There will be topics covering the competency and training of medical managers for disruptive change in healthcare, in-depth discussions on anticipated breakthroughs and their implications, the medical leader’s role in leading positive disruption, transformational change and innovation amongst many other interesting topics. The ASM is expected to attract around 300 delegates from Asia, Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
The sub themes for the Joint ASM are:
Disruption, Innovation & Transformation in Healthcare
and Service Provision
Technology, Health Informatics & Digitalisation
Workforce Change, Culture, Health and Wellbeing
Impact of Traditional Medicine in Healthcare
Integrated Care and Community Services
Medical Leadership – Disruption and Diversity
Challenges in Private Healthcare
The Scientific Program Committee invites papers on the sub themes mentioned above.
Conference planning is well underway and will feature prominent international and local speakers. The Joint ASM will have a busy schedule of social functions, facilities tours, workshops, two days of plenary sessions and will also incorporate the World Federation of Medical Managers forum.
We look forward to meeting you at what will be a stimulating and informative Scientific Meeting in Hong Kong!
